Blast Zone Great White Wild Inflatable Slide Review (4/10-5/8)
I was recently given the fantastic opportunity to work with Blast Zone!! For those of you who don’t know who Blast Zone are and what they do… They are one of the top retailers of inflatable bounce houses, Water Inflatables and much more! I have been wanting to find something for the boys for the backyard for the summer. We have tried a pool and while that is fun it gets a little boring after a while. We have also tried just the regular slip and slides and there was more injury then fun with those things. So when I was offered by Blast Zone to review their Great White Wild Inflatable Slide I was totally excited! I had never actually seen one of these in person before or had to carry one out to the backyard before but they can be a little heavy so make sure you have some extra help carrying these around.
When this came I was a little unsure of how it all worked but they also include a very informative DVD that shows you how everything goes together and made putting it up a snap! The boys were so excited to get this out and set it up. It lays out very nicely on the grass and once you have it spread out you just have to stake it down with the provided stakes. Once that is done all you do all that’s left to do is stake the blower (also included) down and connect it to the tube that is attached to the slide. It ties off and all that is left to do is just to plug it in and inflate the slide. The slide itself goes up very quickly within about 2 minutes it is ready for play.
We haven’t had warm enough weather to use the water, but the really cool thing about this particular slide is it can be used wet or dry. This is a great thing because weather here in Wyoming can be very unpredictable but even if its too cold for water they can still use this and it makes it usable almost all year round! There are two spots for them to slide down and they climb up the back side with handles and holes for their feet. My three year old was a little nervous about this part but he quickly got the hang of it and was soon climbing up all by himself. Another great feature of this slide is the back of the sharks head actually goes till only about a foot or two above the bottom of the inflatable. Which makes it very hard for the kids to fall of the back of this and land on the ground and get hurt. My youngest actually slipped off of the when he was almost to the top and he fell to the bottom part and the back of the shark caught him so he didn’t even fall out of it.
Here is what Blast Zone has to say about the slide:
The Great White Wild slide can be used wet or dry, year round. This monster party slide inflates in just seconds, and when the frenzy is over, it rolls up into the included carry case for easy storage. Fun safe play for 2 kids at a time on the slide (many more can play with it at the party!). This Inflatable Slide is great for parties or everyday use. Kids climb up the back of the shark’s head, and slide or race down the 5′ drop (enclosed by safety netting), where they can splash and play in the White Water Rapid Pool. The slide is over 20′ long!.
The Great White Inflatable Slide can be used all summer, and winter too. During the summer and warm season, the Great White Slide is a water splash park, keeping kids cool and entertained all day. In the winter, grab some sheets, or blankets and slide on down! Fill the Bottom with optional balls (sold separately) and the partying continues year round.
This slide is durable and safe. Unlike many inflatables, the Great White does not use unsafe climbing heights or severe angles. The back and top are enclosed with safety netting, and the back employs an inflatable platform, making it easier for kids to climb up safely. The slide surface is all commercial grade PVC material, for ultimate strength and durability. The slide inflates in under 2 minutes, so the party can start quickly! Just unroll this inflatable beast, hook up the blower, plug it in and stake it down! Comes with Blast Zone’s Industry-Leading Warranty.
I also wanted to talk about how easy it was to take down and for the life of me I kept forgetting to take pictures of how easy it was! All you do is shut the blower off (Make sure the kids are off of it of course) Then open the little yellow tubey thing that is tied off on the side. The air will quickly start to escape and my husband rolls the bottom a little to help the air get out once it is mostly deflated you kind of lay on it as you roll it up till you get as much of the air out as possible. It folds up very easily and fits inside of the carrying case that also comes with it.
